Privacy Policy
In short
Market Tales is a single-player game. Your progress is saved on your device only; we do not ask for your name, e-mail address or any account.
- Ads: the game shows ads from Google AdMob. In the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland we ask for your consent first; you can change it any time under Settings > Ad privacy choices. With "Do not sell my personal information" switched on, ads are not personalised.
- Analytics: we collect gameplay events (for example level start, win or loss) to make the game better. They are not linked to your name or contact details.
- Purchases: payments are handled by the App Store or Google Play. We never see your payment details.
- Questions or requests about your data: support@playmarkettales.com

2. What data is processed
We do not have user accounts and we never ask for your name, e-mail address, phone number, contacts, photos or precise location. The following data is processed:
| Data | Source / provider | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Game progress and settings (level, coins, stars, boosters, completed tasks, sound, language, privacy settings) | Stored on your device only | Running the game. This data does not leave your device. |
| Advertising identifier (Android advertising ID; on iOS the IDFA only if you allow tracking), IP address and approximate location derived from it, device and app information, ad interactions (impressions, clicks) | Google AdMob, Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) | Showing ads and rewarded videos, measuring ads, frequency capping, fraud prevention, storing your consent choice |
| App instance ID, gameplay events (level start, win, loss, booster use, ad views, purchases, completed tasks), device type, OS version, country / approximate location | Google Firebase Analytics | Understanding how the game is played and improving difficulty and balance |
| App instance ID | Google Firebase Remote Config | Delivering game settings (for example economy and difficulty values) |
| Purchase records (which product you bought, the store transaction ID) | Apple App Store or Google Play; the game keeps the transaction IDs on your device only | Handling and restoring in-app purchases (for example the ad-free pack). Purchases go only through Apple or Google; we do not run a purchase server. |
| Your e-mail address and message, if you write to us | Our e-mail provider | Answering your request |
Payment card details are handled only by Apple or Google; we never receive them.
3. Legal bases (GDPR)
- Performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR): running the game, delivering game settings, handling purchases, answering support requests.
- Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR): gameplay analytics to fix problems and improve the game, non-personalised ads that fund a free game, fraud prevention and security.
- Consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and the ePrivacy rules): personalised ads and the related storage of and access to information on your device. You can withdraw consent at any time under Settings > Ad privacy choices; this does not affect earlier processing.
- Legal obligations (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR): for example keeping purchase-related records required by accounting law.
4. Ads, consent and tracking
- Consent form (UMP): when you first open the game in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, and in US states with privacy laws, Google's consent form asks for your choices. You can reopen it under Settings > Ad privacy choices.
- App Tracking Transparency (iOS): the game asks for permission before using your device's advertising identifier (IDFA). If you decline, ads are still shown but without the IDFA. You can change this any time in iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking.
- Android: you can reset or delete your advertising ID in your device's Google or privacy settings.
- Rewarded ads are always optional: you choose to watch them for an in-game reward.
- Ad requests are sent with the setting that the game is not directed to children.
More about how Google uses data: How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.
5. US state privacy rights (including California)
We do not sell personal information for money. Sharing advertising identifiers with ad partners for personalised ads may count as a "sale" or "sharing" under laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA). To opt out, switch on Settings > Do not sell my personal information in the game. With this setting on, ads are requested as non-personalised and Firebase is told not to use your data for ad personalisation. You can also write to us to exercise your rights to know, correct or delete your data; we will not treat you differently for using these rights.
6. Who receives data
We share data only with the service providers needed for the purposes above:
- Google Ireland Limited / Google LLC (AdMob, User Messaging Platform, Firebase Analytics, Firebase Remote Config): Google Privacy Policy
- Apple Inc. and Google LLC as app stores and payment processors, under their own privacy policies
- Authorities, if the law requires it
Some of these providers process data outside the EEA, for example in the United States. Such transfers rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework where the provider is certified, or on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
7. How long data is kept
- Game progress stays on your device until you delete the app or its data.
- Analytics event data is kept for at most 14 months.
- Ad providers keep data under their own retention rules.
- Purchase records are kept as long as needed for the purchase and as required by law.
- Support e-mails are kept as long as needed to answer you, and at most 2 years after the last message.
8. Your rights
Under the GDPR (and similar laws where you live) you have the right to access your data, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to processing (including processing based on legitimate interests), to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time.
Data deletion: because there is no account, your game progress is deleted when you uninstall the game or clear its data. To have analytics, ad or purchase data about you deleted, write to support@playmarkettales.com with the subject "Data deletion". We may ask for information that helps us find your data (for example the device type and approximate date of a purchase), because we do not know who you are. We answer within one month.
Complaints: you can complain to a data protection supervisory authority. Our lead authority is the Estonian Data Protection Inspectorate (Andmekaitse Inspektsioon), Tatari 39, 10134 Tallinn, Estonia, www.aki.ee. You can also complain to the authority in the country where you live or work.
9. Children
Market Tales is not directed to children. It is made for adults, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13 (or the higher age required in your country, such as 16 in some EU countries). If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Security
All data sent by the game to our providers is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). We limit the data we collect to what the game needs.
11. Users in Turkey (KVKK)
A privacy notice under Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (KVKK) is available in Turkish: KVKK aydınlatma metni. It is also shown in the game under Settings.
12. This website
This website does not use cookies, analytics or third-party scripts and loads no external fonts. Our hosting provider (Vercel Inc.) processes your IP address and request data in server logs for security and delivery.
13. Changes
We may update this policy when the game or the law changes. The effective date above shows the latest version. For important changes we will also inform you in the game.
